Our 6th class leavers enjoyed their tour to Aquazone (National Aquatic Arena) and the National Sport Ireland indoor arena today. Having left St Malachy’s shortly after 9am, the boys landed in the Aquazone waterpark just before half 10 with access to a lazy river, wave pool and a number of tube slides the boys really enjoyed their time and worked up quite the appetite. Having changed and caught their breath, the boys ate their lunch while we made our way to the state of the art indoor arena. Here the boys gained first hand experienced of the work and focus involved in Gymnastics as they used faciloties seperated only by a screen from future Olympic hopefuls. Following on from this, the boys took to the national 200m track where they ran single 200m runs alongside relays and completed a fun obstacle course. A fantastic tour, thoroughly enjoyed by our leavers and one we hope they remember for a long time to come.
